Sweet baby Eli,

Your new nickname, donned by daddy, is the "Big Easy." You are such a laid back baby!! You are a fabulous sleeper!! And, just all-around laid back. Your personality is starting to shine through, and you are a very happy little guy!!

One of my favorite things with you is to walk in in the morning and see you lying in your bed, just "dancing" and smiling your big smile. It just makes me smile, and gets my day going on a great start, every morning. You very much love to be with mommy, and if she's been at work all day, so soon as she gets home... you do not want anyone else; this of course, I do love. :)

We were very caught off guard when we found out you were coming; and then you came 4 1/2 weeks early - again super caught off guard. But, from the moment you have arrived, you have brought with you a sense of peace and calm. Holding you and hugging you is one of the sweetest things here on this earth. You love to be talked to and you love to be loved on. The more kisses the better! Whenever you hear big brother's voice, you just start smiling and coo-ing. I love this! My prayers is that you two will grow to be the best of friends. That throughout life you will continue to rely on each other and enjoy each other's presence.

You love when daddy gets home and you hear his voice - this, again, brings a huge smile. You are just the sweetest little baby!!

You are a great, great sleeper. For the past few weeks, if you do not sleep from 9pm -5/6am, then you wake once usually around 2am or 3 am - then back to sleep until 6 or 7. This is so great! I love getting spend so much time with you. I've not been working since you were born and it so great!! (Occasionally I will work on a weekend here and there right now.)

I may be taking a more full-time position; and of course I do not want to give up my Eli (and Oliver) time, but you are such a sweet baby; that I just know you will do great!

I am so happy you are here. You have made our sweet little family into an amazing little unit. Mommy and Daddy adore you and are so very happy to have you here with us! May God continue to protect you and help you grow into a healthy strong little boy - but may he keep you my sweet little baby as long as possible!
